Australia-Singapore trade deal strengthens supply chain resilience
Australia and Singapore have signed a new protocol to safeguard essential supplies and keep trade flowing during disruption.
The Protocol on Economic Resilience and Essential Supplies, under the Singapore-Australia Free Trade Agreement, strengthens cooperation on energy security, critical supply chains and trade, following a commitment by both prime ministers in April 2026. Singapore is Australia's largest fuel supplier, providing 55% of its petrol, 15% of its diesel and 23% of its aviation fuel.
